Description
It's been a while since I decided to color something digitally, so the shading for this is crappy. Anyway, these are four new characters of mine. They are (counterclockwise from bottom left) Richard "Rich" Starr, Elisabeth "Elsa" Heinrich, Lara Nunez, and Alexander "Alex" Choi. Info on them down below:
Richard “Rich” Starr (23) – while he may not look it with his bleached blonde hair, multiple ear piercings and rather laid-back way of dressing up, he’s actually a law enforcer. He doesn’t work for OR WITH the police per se, but he does work kind of like one for his hometown. It’s no surprise to anyone, or it might be to some because of how he looks, that he is very serious with his job and will do what it takes to keep his hometown safe and crime-free. Outside of work he still keeps his serious no-nonsense attitude and laid-back manner of dressing.
Elisabeth “Elsa” Heinrich (18) – this girl is a gender-biased mom’s dream and a tomboy’s nightmare: pink, frills, bows, dresses, skirts, curly blonde hair, and pastel makeup. Most of the time she acts demure or coy if that was a better way to say it, but when not acting coy she takes out her phone and takes multiple selfies, which annoys the living daylights out of people. And coming from a wealthy family, she doesn’t really have hobbies that are what one would call productive as pretty much all she does are prettify herself and take selfies.
Lara Nunez (20) – at first glance you can already tell that she’s a tomboy. Wearing distressed cutoffs, ripped tights and styling her hair in a purple undercut, there is no way she’s a girly girl. She despises all things girly and dislikes Elsa for that. But that aside, she is also really rebellious and will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and by what she wants that means e-cigarettes since they taste better than real cigarettes, and her iPod filled with punk rock songs.
Alexander “Alex” Choi (17) – if Elsa was a nine or a ten, then Alex is a five. He is a geek, to say the least, and he is an avid role-player. Donning a dark red cardigan over a light blue shirt and green plaid pants with a pale brown beanie and a necklace from his older sister, he is one who would need to learn how to dress properly. His reputation as a role-player made him antisocial. When he tries to talk to anyone who isn’t a fellow role-player, he either runs away or faints.
Random fact: Rich is named after a friend of my siblings and I who sadly died four years ago.
I actually liked coloring this over drawing this. And crap, I just notice I didn't shade the phone Rich is holding.
Other than that, I think this piece is fantastic and I hope you continue to practice with digital art.
